Hand Painted Art Glass From Krosno
The art glass that you see some samples of in the pictures below is hand paint on Krosno glass by artists in a small factory in Krosno itself. Each piece is individually hand painted and unique.
The glass itself is first quality Kronso Glass. The decoration is hand applied and then the glass is fired to fix it permanently to the glass.
The art glass shown here is gallery quality. It fits well in floral shops as well as gift shops.
There are many pattern. Because there are so many patterns were we to put pictures of all of them in this page, the page would take too long to load. So we have shown here some representative pieces that give you a feel for what is available.
Krosno glass is famous in its own right. There are many factories in Krosno that make different forms of glass. And they use different manufacturing processes. Some use machines to form their glass on production lines. But for the most part, the majority of the glass made there is hand formed by trained European artisans. And the glass that you see here is hand formed.
It is also important to understand that what constitutes art glass is not very well fixed. For the most part, it describes a glass that is specially decorated or colored in a distinct process from the original creation process. But at the same time, some art glass is actually created at the time the glass is initially worked.
